MY STORY

I've been tutoring since I was in high school in the 1990s. I received a Bachelors in Mathematics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. I went into the business world, but continued tutoring as a volunteer. I now live in Huntersville, NC, and I'm excited to be tutoring professionally again.

I recognize the potential in each one of my students. With a customizable approach, I have seen my clients’ test scores and grades consistently rise. Kyle is quite an amazing math tutor - probably one of the best and most genuinely invested tutors out there! Back in high school I found myself a little too deep into high level math classes, and with such a busy schedule, I became increasingly overwhelmed... this was also back when the SAT II/subject tests were becoming popular, and (for some reason) I decided to take the math sections. Needless to say, I needed major help. Kyle not only helped me ace senior calculus, but he also taught me how to take standardized tests in an efficient and practical manner - my SAT II scores were way higher than anyone (including me) expected!! I can’t give Kyle enough praise for his teaching style and vast fund of knowledge. He is very approachable, respectful, and professional. I never once felt like my questions were “stupid.” The best part is, the benefits of his tutoring helped me through my college-level math and science classes (including vector calculus and physical chemistry). I eventually made it through medical school and am now a resident physician. Truly, I have Kyle to thank for getting me through some of the toughest bumps in the road when it came to my high school math education, and for giving me tools that I have continued to use throughout all my years of learning.

I was struggling with a pre-calc class in high school. Kyle explained complex concepts with relatable analogies and funny examples that kept me engaged and improved my grade by 2 letter grades. He gave me the confidence to pursue math at a higher level in college at Case Western Reserve University. He tutored me in math then too for Calc 2 and again when I took a Physics class, which I believed to be science but turned out to be a cleverly disguised math class. It had been over 20 years since my last college math class (except teaching math in elementary school). To say I was rusty would be an understatement. It wasn't my best subject in school anyway. I found myself needing to take the Praxis test to add a teaching certification. I bought the practice test but was lost. Kyle went through the test with me and the material made more sense than ever. He is excellent at not only teaching how to do a problem, but also the concept and application.
